Kordsa continues to reinforce future generations with its projects for teachers and schools
Kordsa continues to carry out corporate social responsibility projects with the vision to reinforce the future. Every year, Kordsa renovates a school from its inside to the outside including heating and electrical installations, wall painting and educational materials. This year Kordsa took a step further and apart from renovating Akçaova Primary and Secondary School, it also carried out a joint training project with the Teachers Academy Foundation to empower teachers of Akçaova Primary and Secondary School both personally and professionally.
Kordsa, aiming to contribute to the society in every country it operates, renovates a school from its inside to the outside including substructure renovation, library construction, educational equipment purchase and wall painting for the last 5 years. This year, Kordsa continued to reinforce the future of children by renovating Akçaova Primary and Secondary School in the Akçaova district of İzmit, where Kordsa’s main factory is located. Being aware of the fact that teachers play a major role in the education and development of children, unlike previous years, prior to school renovation, Kordsa reinforced the teachers of Akçaova Primary and Secondary School as well as teachers of the surrounding schools through a joint training project with the Teachers Academy Foundation as part of the Foundation’s “Learning Leader Teacher” Program. The program is designed to develop teachers as leaders who teach their students how to learn instead of what to learn, and supports the intellectual, personal, professional, emotional and social development of teachers.
Employees of the Reinforcement leader Kordsa, including its CEO Ali Çalışkan and the senior executives from all Kordsa facilities around the world who came for the Global Leadership Summit, took part in the renovation project on January 8th, and made the necessary renovations of the school by painting the walls and renovating its heating and electrical installation and windows. Kordsa’s CEO Ali Çalışkan, regarding the school renovation project stated: “As Kordsa, we reinforce life and the future. We see children and young people as the guarantee of the future. For this reason, we focus on education and carry out projects to ensure that they are well educated to become conscious and skilled individuals. We took our school renovation project, which we have been continuing for the last five years, one step further and expanded it in order to touch more lives. In this sense, we cooperated with the Teacher Academy Foundation, and within the scope of its “Learning Leader Teacher” program, we implemented a training project to empower the teachers of Akçaova Primary and Secondary Schools, and other schools in the region.”
Kordsa renovated the school’s cafeteria, classrooms and outdoor sports fields, but also built an indoor sports facility and a room for intelligence games. More than 300 Kordsa volunteers from all Kordsa facilities took part in this reinforcement project.
