Kordsa attends Road2Tunnel with its innovative concrete reinforcement synthetic fibers KraTos Macro PP and KraTos Micro
Reinforcement leader Kordsa participated in the 4th edition of the International Road, Bridges and Tunnels Fair, Road2Tunnel which was held on 9-11 October in Ankara, Turkey. Kordsa informed construction industry professionals about the key features and application methods of its innovative concrete reinforcement synthetic fibers KraTos PP and KraTos Micro, and their references. Synthetic fiber reinforcements, which are preferred especially in industrial and infrastructure projects, provide quick applicability, time advantage, high durability and concrete reinforcement safety, while reducing maintenance costs during the service life of the projects.
Kordsa operating worldwide in tire and construction reinforcement and composite technologies, participated for the second time the International Road, Bridges and Tunnels Fair, Road2Tunnel held in Ankara on 9-11 October. Kordsa, providing information on its diverse product range for infrastructure and superstructure projects, their technical features and applications, had the opportunity to share with the visitors its innovative and 100% domestic engineering solutions at this major industry meeting, bringing together administrators, subcontractors and designers. The polypropylene monafilament fiber reinforcements, a new type of KraTos, produced in the more advanced polypropylene monofilament fiber reinforcement line commissioned in Izmit in June 2018, attracted great attention.
KraTos, providing long-term safety and high durability in areas where electromagnetic equipment are involved, is highly preferred in infrastructure projects due to its use in lower dosage and cost advantage along with its 100% corrosion resistance thanks to its polymer structure and used in the construction of mega projects such as toll-gates of the third bridge on Bosphorus, Samsun Light Rail Transit System Project (Samsun Tram), Eskişehir Light Rail Transit System Project, Trabzon DSI pressured water-conveyance tunnel, Buca-Bornova Tunnel, the longest highway tunnel in Izmir, TCDD second generation high-speed railway network, Artvin Yusufeli dam and Kocaeli light rail Transit System Project. With its high characteristic performance and durability, Kratos reduces maintenance costs during the service life of the buildings. Being the first Turkish product in the international synthetic fiber market, Kratos is highly preferred in domestic projects due to its short leadtime.
