Kordsa Among the Best R&D Centers of the Year 3 rd time in a Row!
Selected as the best R&D Center of Year 2014, Kordsa has been ranked among the best R&D Centers nationwide in Turkey of 2015 as well, according to the Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology R&D Centers Performance Index. At the award ceremony, Kordsa has been handed two prizes; “Third Best R&D Center in All Sectors”, and the “Best R&D Center in the Textile Sector”, by the Minister of Economy Mr. Nihat Zeybekçi and the Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Mr. Faruk Özlü.
Leading companies conducting R&D activities from various sectors has attended the 5th Private Sector R&D Centers Summit. The best R&D Centers in the sectors have been awarded prizes by the Minister of Economy Mr. Nihat Zeybekçi, and the Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Mr. Faruk Özlü at the ceremony.
The leading tire reinforcement giant Kordsa has been granted two R&D Center Awards; one for the “Third Best R&D Center in All Sectors”, and one for the “Best R&D Center in the Textile Sector”. Kordsa CEO Mr. Cenk Alper has received the prizes from the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Science, Industry and Technology.
Evaluating the award, Kordsa CEO Mr. Cenk Alper has said:
“We, as Kordsa feel proud as our R&D efforts and our value-creating innovations have been awarded. This new business model conjointly established by the industry, the university and the public provides a single roof under which the academicians, doctoral students, R&D personnel, and production engineers meet. Through the strength of this unique model; many different processes such as R&D, prototype production, incubation center, and production process will be treated under the same roof. The high-tech composite materials produced at this center will transform different sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and energy. Our goal with the Composite Technologies Center of Excellence is to make Turkey the technology hub of the entire world.”
